Cookie Policy
Effective 23 October 2026
Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before RevenShield is offered to the public.
This policy lists every cookie and stored setting the RevenShield website and app use, and why.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Browser storage works in a similar way for settings. Both can be needed for a site to work, or used to track people across sites.
2. The cookies and settings we use
RevenShield uses only what the Service needs. We use no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| rg_session | Cookie (essential) | Keeps you signed in. Cannot be read by page scripts. | 30 days, or until you sign out |
| rs_google_flow | Cookie (essential) | Protects the Google sign-in step against forgery. | 10 minutes |
| theme | Browser storage | Remembers dark, light or device theme. | Until you clear it |
| displayCurrency | Browser storage | Remembers the currency you chose for display. | Until you clear it |
| rs-gate-confirmed-at | Browser storage | Remembers that this browser's protection was confirmed, so the app opens without a flash. | Until you clear it |
3. The browser extension and Windows helper
The RevenShield extension and Windows helper keep what they need on your device: the connection to your account (a device key), the cooldowns in force and their end times, and the list of sites to protect. This lets a cooldown end at the right time even when your device is offline. It is removed when you remove the extension or helper.
4. Your choices
Because these cookies are essential, there is no cookie banner. You can delete cookies and stored settings in your browser at any time; you will then be signed out and your display settings will return to their defaults. If we ever add optional cookies, we will ask for your consent first and list them here.
